Foodstuff for Special Medical Purposes, for the nutritional needs of malnourished oncology patients, in drinkable form :

- high calorie (344 Kcal*), high protein (17 g protein*) content

- rich in Omega 3 fatty acids

- gluten-free

- reduced polyamine content

(*per drink reconstituted with a 75 g sachet + 125 ml water)

1 to 5 sachets a day according to the nutritional programme recommended by your doctor. Dilute one 75 g sachet in 125 ml of cold water. Leave to stand for 2 minutes before use.

Castase can be eaten at any time of day: for breakfast, as a snack, for dessert...

- Enjoy them on their own :

Castase drinks can be drunk chilled, at room temperature or slightly warm (take care not to boil them).

- Enhance them with food :

Add fruit to vary the pleasure, or fresh cream, soya cream or a knob of butter to increase the creaminess...

To reduce the amount of polyamines in your diet as much as possible, we advise you to avoid :

- Dried fruit and vegetables: walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, pistachios, chickpeas, split peas, broad beans, lentils, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.

- Sprouts: wheat germs, sprouted seeds, young shoots, etc.

- Wholegrain cereals and derivatives: bread, rice and compact wheat, buckwheat pancakes, bran, barley, oats, quinoa, etc.

- Unpeeled and seeded fruit and vegetables

- Citrus fruit, especially oranges and grapefruit

- Shellfish

- Raw milk cheeses and cheese rinds (including pasteurised cheeses)
